I’m using this Monotech 1000 for the first time. Really solid pencil. It’s a shame they discontinued this.
The Pilot Palmarin and Staedtler Triplus micro have such a bellows between the cap and the body.
Nice Scepter. I use a Scepter as my every day pencil.
Can you tell i only recently discovered mercari? Just got in my first shipment in of Smashes. Top is stickered and in great condition. Plus some stuff i got from D.W.D.
Bottom left is unstickered stock in mostly good condition.
Botttom middle '87 stickered set .5 - .9
Lower right is duplicates. Which while unfortunate. Gifts, trades, daily drivers.
Giggles in debt
Don’t know ANYTHING about this!
Pro tip: you can save on the paint by using a pencil for that.
With very soft lead
see lead exchange post for even more savings
Or just dump out the content of your Tru Point tub lead pointer…
Today it’s a Pilot H-1095. I had been wanting this one for quite some time. When it came, however, I was a bit let down by how smooth the knurling was. It has a nice, heavy and solid knock, but gripping it at the nose cone is quite uncomfortable due to the stepped design. After all, it is a drafting pencil, not made for long writing sessions, so I can get over that.
The 58X is my favorite of all of them though I do like that one too. The length and heft of it is pleasant.
Looks like you may have gotten a hold of one of the smoother ones.
Which stinks, it changes the whole pencil. The rougher ones are in my top 10, the smoother one just makes me mad.
Wow, so if I’m adding things up correctly, the older version with the deeper blue color and blue cap is the one with proper knurling, whereas the newer version with the silver cap and lighter blue color has the smooth grip? I guess I need another one now.
Sorry for the self promotion but I go over this a little in my video
You know, I’ve seen it, but I completely forgot about that part in my fervor to attain one.
Great videos by the way. Your channel was one of the main things that pushed me deeper into this hobby. That and this forum.
