I recently got this Platinum Arabesque ballpoint to pair with my “white etched” or engraved pencils.
Unfortunately it uses a non-standard refill so until I find a suitable replacement it will be for display only.

From the look of the old refill, I’d thought of the Pilot BRFN immediately but the tip might not be narrow enough. Even a Uni SJ7 might be too wide at the tip. My go-to for modding narrow tip refills is the Schneider Express 225, which has the narrow tip, but would still require some sawing or cutting to get the body down to the correct length.

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll look into it. The tip is 1.6 mm wide, I’ve never seen anything like it. D1 or Japan-style refills won’t go through.

Ok, sorry for the mixup…
I have 3 Graph Gear 1000s here, but with a twist. They all have been upgraded with their respective colors’ metal inner-grip replacement parts machined by grcon-1 on eBay (GradyConwell | eBay Stores). This replacement part leaves them without their fatal design flaw, leading to cracked plastic, and tilts the center of balance much more forward towards the tip.

Nothing flashy this week. A simple Uniball 207 Plus+ which I was put onto by this post by @Pdunc67. It writes well like most gel pens. It also does not smear nearly as much as I thought it would with its special dye-based ink. This may be because this is the “Plus+” version of the specialty ink by Uni.

Nerding out about my new case. I talked myself into carrying less pencils = less problems. Also if I only have 3 pencils, my ADHD can’t have me swap pencils 8x in the same sentence.
Would recommend Lihit Lab. I’m only concerned the faux leather will break down one day.
