Check Washing vs. The uni-ball 207

Standard dye-based inks are easily “washed” off paper with household chemicals. The 207 uses pigment-based ink that physically bonds to the paper fibers. It is chemically resistant and permanent—making it a simple, effective defense against document fraud. Think of it as a bodyguard for your signature.

This is very interesting! The accountant at work has my manager using a Sharpie S-Gel if he has to hand write a check. She said that she had heard on our local news station that S-Gels were hard to lift. So I did a few Googles and today I learned that not all Sharpies are permanent. I sent this video to my accountant for her consideration. Thank you for sharing @Pdunc67!

you’re welcome!

The irony COULD be that this guy is part of the most prolific counterfeiting ring the world has ever seen. Even bigger than Leonardo DiCaprio.

He put this video out to trick everyone into using the most easily lifted ink to help him in the future!

not probable but possible…

funny thing is - that guy is Frank Abagnale, a former con artist and check forger who is now a well-known security consultant.

His life story was the inspiration for the book and the 2002 film Catch Me If You Can.
