Thank you @Knockologist - the dark green Hue arrived safe and sound in its wonderful capsule and has joined its new brethren.
Woohoooooo! It made it all the way across the globe! Awesome set there, friend!
It really does! Even if I don’t mind the step of the original GraphGear 500, this version feels very nice.
The Bic Re-New needs refills that fit more snugly in the snout! I put one in my laptop bag along with small notepad.
That’s right! The standard refill is too loose in the barrel.
I love the sprinter nose cone way too much, so it’s gone in my edc pouch. I really want to get the shaker with similar design. The black nose one was the 7-11 collab with platinum.
I want a few Shakers so I can keep one on my desk
But like I’ve said before, I’m not about to touch my high-end Sprinter with water droplet tip!
Ok let’s see, are you never going to use them? I’ve thought the same - Why risk the lettering integrity of my precious (insert pencil that wears out just by looking at it), if I have others I can use and like better?
But, life is short, they say.
True, but I have hundreds of other pieces to choose from. On top of that, I prefer plastic or knurled grips for most of my actual writing.
Occasionally a brass or coated piece like the Kaweco Special or Meister by POINT will break these “rules,” but those instances are fairly rare.
I see, well I hope you sometime decide to hold those Sprinter and rip off that flimsy enamel paint without any regrets.
Would have been cool if the Sprinter spring was etched with the lettering rather than cheaply silkscreened. Finding one at a price I feel good about has still not happened after 4 years looking.
For some MP models I find it so hard to warm up to the market price. Keep hoping to find one cheaper rather than adjusting my budget expectation.
Peak Sprinters without logo can go for as low as $150 (or maybe even less).
But ones with the printing intact will run you $200–$300. I bought mine in a desperation bid and paid something like $268. I hadn’t seen any at auction in a long time, so I jumped on mine when it came up. Of course, the next few months were characterized by a ton of Sprinters in similar condition, and many of them went for like $50 cheaper.
That’s probably the most I’ve paid for a piece that I felt like I “had to have” (at least in terms of what I paid vs. what I could have paid if I had been more patient).
Yes, this story sounds exactly right.
I dearly miss life in Japan particularly shopping stationery from the local stores. But recently my colleagues wife made a trip there and was kind enough to bring me back one of these which I really wanted. Feeling very happy about this one.
Just received a present of a new Drehgriffel No. 2 and made it part of this week’s rotation. That BOXY cutter is probably my most used BOXY right now… I use it regularly to open up my shipments.
This is super pretty. Though I find it strange that your brass is so much paler than mine. Do you polish it? or is it just the lighting?
This one has been on my desk for the past week or so! I swap out routinely though.
Mechanical keyboard enthusiast SPOTTED
Rightfully called out! Not to deviate from strictly mechanical pencils…
This is the GMMK Pro 75% in that photo, with Gateron Milky Yellow switches, and some miscellaneous PBT keycaps from DROP. I built it last year and havent had a reason to get another once since. Are you an enthusiast for these too?
