Oh dang, what do you think of the Aimvision Pro?

Well, I got mine off Mercari for 5800, which I felt was a much fairer price. At 7000, I feel it isn’t justified because so much of the cost can be attributed to the extravagant packaging and in-store marketing materials. There is also some play in the new fangled lead degree dial. It clicks nice but you can wiggle it back and forth a little, which might tempt the uninitiated to accidentally crank it in the wrong direction and break the innards. Do not let the little ones play with this one.

The Kayou and the new Zebra are standouts :raising_hands:

Graphgear 500 in navy blue! Basic but its one of my favorites. I found that 0.7 tends to break less, so that’s what I’ve been using lately.

Really nice collection you got there.

I am lusting over the AimVision! Luckily for me, I have the option to buy it as a friend of mine (who’s getting married today btw!) will go on his Honeymoon to Japan in a few days time. His wife is into writing instruments, so they anyway plan to spend a day stationery shopping and they can get the AimVision Pro for me.

My only concern is that it is not exactly congruent with my collection (IJ Instruments, Wingbacks, Kawecos, TWSBI, etc). I do love the look though.

Still undecided whether I like the black or the beige coloured one better.

Would you rate it as better build quality than a rotring 600 / TWSBI Precision?

A modern rOtring 600? That’s too low of a bar, sadly. They’re right next to GG1000 for potential sudden loss of integrity. TWSBI is an interesting comparison, but the precision is a much simpler beast and it’s more like a M1 tank compared to the Bradley that the Aimvision Pro might be akin to.

Today, I’m thrilled to have these amazing DELI Lead Dispensers on my desk, kindly gifted by @International_Orange

They’re fantastic! And if these couldn’t get any better, they are also refillable, helping reduce plastic waste in landfills, and I plan to use them for years. By pressing the spring-loaded cap, a single piece of lead is dispensed—perfect for anyone who prefers not to touch their lead refills. You can easily refill your pencil without ever handling the lead.

Huge thanks to @International_Orange for this thoughtful gift!

I first saw this functionality from Staedtler in this style of packaging:

I like it a lot at first but eventually, the nozzle gets clogged…
