Only the ¥300 BOXY double-knocks and ¥700 Mitsubishis with matte “silver” grip and colored barrels are missing here.
Yes, I didn’t have any in my collection from which to add photos, but I suppose I could scour a bit for them. Do you know what are the model numbers?
No idea about the model number (but I bet it’s something Mitsubishi re-used elsewhere
)
I guess I never put my BOXY double-knocks on display, so I don’t have any pictures handy. But I did notice another forgotten double-knock in the upper right corner of the image linked above.
That’s a white-labeled piece that was also issued by, at a minimum, Faber-Castell.
What’s the Kerry tipped beauty?
Pentel p300 0.7
Looking at the full two posts here featuring a P300 - a pencil I’ve never heard about,
Is it ”just” a Kelly-tipped P200 in a beautiful fat plastic dress?
There is something deeply satisfying about the square knurl on those micrographs. It looks and feels excellent for me as it is tactile and bumpy without needing to feel sharp. I wish they offered a full metal variant as I do wish the pencil felt a little more substantial
It’s wider than the Kerry and it only comes in 0.7. It’s also a very thick formidable plastic that feels good to the touch. It’s one I’m actually using right now regularly but I don’t agree with its price point which is why I don’t collect it but this one was damaged pretty badly at the clip with a big chunk missing. I paid $13 for it and filled the chunk with the remaining pieces and super glue then polished it… being 0.7 might be a reason no one references it.
@knowishallnot Yes, I agree with everything you said except wanting it all metal. I really like it as it is both hs and fixed.
Color me with “Doh!” – I saw Jeffy post about it years ago and from the photo I wasn’t particularly taken by it. But it does have a satisfying “LAMY Scribble” kind of barrel, but longer.

How strange that Pentel made it only in 0.7mm. If only there was a yellow…
Mercari is dangerous! Just got my package in today. And im most excited about a smash ballpoint I found for 35 bucks.
Now that @speedfreek pointed out that it’s maybe a Kerry tip…. I want to see if I can swap it and maybe the 0.7 clutch will hold a 0.5 just as firmly and then boom it’s a 0.5!
SMASH madness! Nice grabs.
#5 in from the left, bottom row. Is that based on some Japanese Anime figure? A woman with a sword? How long ago did you nab it?
Yea Sword Art Online. Early June? Pretty much all of this was from 1 month.
Just based of seeing a photo of the cap and an eraser stuffed in an aluminum tube and a tip looking like the Kerry tip, swapping the full internal assembly for anything 0.5 and similar to ”all their other P200” should work.
The teardrop shaped-tip that Pilot put on its pencils has to be one of my favorite designs.
Korea Pilot seemed to have liked it too because they put it on this Mini and Wave, as well as their version of the Sprinter, which I don’t have.
@speedfreek the Kerry tip fits perfectly but the 0.7 clutch will not extend 0.5 lead.
…here is the spot where I filled the chunk that the clip ripped out with a couple pieces that remained and super glue.
If you use the coarse polish cloth while the glue is slightly wet then the “pencil dust” will fill in with the color of the plastic and help to blend
Such a cool little thingy… Too bad it has a non-removable clip, but everything else is amazing.
That small PILOT pencil with matte silver teardrop nosecone was up on eBay about 4~5 years ago for about $13 USD plus $10 USD shipping. I wasn’t sure of the quality, but I was curious about the nose cone that looked so much like an H-515 Shaker. Anyway, the seller was from XXXX - sorry, Thailand (“pastelcactuscafe“). They had a lot of other lower end PILOT pencils, and I’d had in mind to get a few for combined shipping, but I waited too long. Then stock was gone.
That other PILOT with the same nosecone and a pattern on the barrel, reminds me a lot of a Parker pen pattern from the 1980’s. Some call it a “shield” pattern but officially it was known as Harlequin.
