What is your EDC?

Hi Vasco! :victory_hand:

This little pocket knife is fantastic, and I think it’s indispensable!

@majkycz_y My father has carried one in that same little pocket of his jeans for the past 50 years. He swears by the discontinued Bijou model without the key ring because it does less damage to his jeans.

I was curious and have looked: When I bought my last Rambler in 2011, it was about 15 Euro, but today it’s almost 30 Euro

I’ve bought those two from amazon (Spain) with an interesting discount. The CT41 was around 78 (usually 120) and the minichamp was 30 (usually 50). They do good promos to get rid of low stock and get more.

Presently there’s a Swiss Champ for 78…

I use a Field Notes branded Daily Carry made by Iron and Resin as my wallet. I recently started carrying a pocket notebook around and my first one is this Field Notes with the beautiful ‘Is a River Alive?’ cover. I also have a Puncube aluminum card holder which holds cards that are important but I do not need every day. The flashlight is an Olight Ultra with UV and a laser. And I have already mentioned the Skilcraft U.S. Government pen as my ‘I do not care if I lose it’ pen.[1]

Lastly, the most recent addition is a Hamilton Khaki Field Watch. Specifically, the Lancaster Exclusive Edition. I had worn a smartwatch for years but recently started contemplating switching to something quite more analog after watching a The Slow Mo Guys video on the intricacies of mechanical watches. I started researching and came across field watches which I appreciated the history of Hamilton originally designing and producing during World War II. And lo and behold, I find out that Hamilton was originally from the city I live in of Lancaster, Pennsylvania! The watchface looks like tiny red bricks[2] and their old factory is depicted on the backplate. So far I am loving my first mechanical watch!

  1. The letter notepad is simply a background for the image. ↩︎

  2. Lancaster has a LOT of red brick buildings. ↩︎

Nice kit:+1:. I’ve got that Field Notes set as well.

I’m reading Macfarlane’s Underland (his previous book to Is a River Alive?), highly recommend it!

The employee at the local stationary store spoke highly of ‘Is a River Alive?’. I have not picked it up yet but thank you for the recommendation on his previous book!
