Now this is not really my EDC. Just thought it would make for a nice shoot. I really hope to find a 9709 and green Tekagraph, and the missing lead sizes. Maybe someone here can hook me up ![]()
I have an extra 9707 which I do use often.

Very nice items and a beautiful photo!
Someone can correct me if Iâm wrong but I dont think they made a 9709
Possible. I havenât found one picture. But wouldnât it be strange considering they did make a 9719?
Now that you guys mentioned it, I also canât recall ever seeing a 9709. Or any half slide / full slide lead pipe in 0,9 from any brand. Maybe its technically unfeasible or unreliable? The larger diameter also means a much larger circumference so more friction?
Modern Chinese full metal pencils often have a sliding sleeve, even in 0.9.
I just got a 9715 T which turns out to be a half slide, exactly like the 9705. Considering the 9719 is a fixed sleeve, I donât see why there wouldnât have been a fixed sleeve 9709 ![]()
My minimal EDC for note writing and weekly schedule:
Using the RIR Index Card Wallet for the weekly tri-fold card (keeps all my week data easy to enter and recall) with a modified daytimer pocket notebook and PD345T, Parker Jotter, sometimes Skilcraft B7 multipen for color highlights. The notebook works great as it has index, numbered pages and sturdy paper. Easy pocket kit!
I love me a Jotter.
Me tooâŚjust a solid bomb-proof click pen. I tend to use the Stabilo 0.5 med refills,
as they are cheap, write well and donât gum up like the Parker onesâ![]()
I have a box of Skilcraft U.S. Government pens. They may not be the best writers but part of my collection is pens that have interesting history. They are my âI do not care if I lose themâ pens.
Yep, those are great!
I rotate a lot between these these two groups
Sometimes just the mini ballpoint and the knife
Sometimes just the two lead holders
Sometimes just the Mini-Champ (it has a pen)
Most often just the Cyber Tool 41 (it has a pen)
Sometimes just the Waterman and the Pro Use 171
I have tools at the studio
Prepâing a toolset with a Knipex 100 + 711L Ratchet + Compact DeWalt bit set for my backpack but I really donât need it. The Cyber Tool has done the job so far.
The lead holders rock!
I tend to use this cheaper Jotter traveling, but have been using this Skilcraft B3 Aviator, 2 color pen, 0.5 pencil for many years for EDC (can you tell?). Somehow havenât lost it, even while hiking miles up mountains doing arborist workâ
.
Plus a couple of pen/pencil carriers that work for great drawing etc out in the field, very compact.
From the âfilm is deadâ topic, @Gunther replyâŚ
âŚand no 0.9 mmâŚ
Thanks for sharing that! Itâs a bit disappointing, but will safe me a lot of time aimlessly searching ![]()
Small 57 mm Victorinox is my most used knife I have (Rambler). I carry it daily in a small pocket of my jeans originally intended for a lighter (?)
Or coins?
