What is your EDC?

I use a Field Notes branded Daily Carry made by Iron and Resin as my wallet. I recently started carrying a pocket notebook around and my first one is this Field Notes with the beautiful ‘Is a River Alive?’ cover. I also have a Puncube aluminum card holder which holds cards that are important but I do not need every day. The flashlight is an Olight Ultra with UV and a laser. And I have already mentioned the Skilcraft U.S. Government pen as my ‘I do not care if I lose it’ pen.[1]

Lastly, the most recent addition is a Hamilton Khaki Field Watch. Specifically, the Lancaster Exclusive Edition. I had worn a smartwatch for years but recently started contemplating switching to something quite more analog after watching a The Slow Mo Guys video on the intricacies of mechanical watches. I started researching and came across field watches which I appreciated the history of Hamilton originally designing and producing during World War II. And lo and behold, I find out that Hamilton was originally from the city I live in of Lancaster, Pennsylvania! The watchface looks like tiny red bricks[2] and their old factory is depicted on the backplate. So far I am loving my first mechanical watch!

  2. Lancaster has a LOT of red brick buildings. ↩︎
