Also, last time when the sender marked the package as a gift and declared a custom value, the customs calculated the value of the package themselves with comparable items(maybe) and asked me to pay $230 for pencils worth $250.
that’s the problem I guess. either they don’t recognize the collector’s value at all (then you go really cheap), or they really look up on internet and see those ridiculous offers from ulfesharpe and so on and start to calculate astronomique totals …
Yeah, I had to send the items back. Normally, duty + taxes are around 50-60%.
I made a post few months back that I want to buy Spoke 4, and if someone could help me with shipping. If I buy the pencil from the website, it would cost me around $135. $45 for the pencil, $45 shipping and then $45 custom duty & taxes.
