lol, I’ve just always considered the “5” logo to be infinitely cooler than the understated “Kerry 1971.”

I feel the same way about the Kerry as I do about the rOtring Tikky—I only want specimens with the older, more whimsical “Tikky” script, and I only want Kerry specimens with the “5.”

This appears to be a pretty thorough write-up on the Kerry over on the Fountain Pen Network: PENTEL KERRY P1035 & P1037 MECHANICAL PENCILS: THE PENCIL THAT LOOKS LIKE A FOUNTAIN PEN - It Writes, But It Is Not A Fountain Pen .... - The Fountain Pen Network

Thank you. That is a great write up on the Kerry.

The 5 isn’t a good indicator of age though. As far as I know, there have been at least 17 versions with the 5 released between 2012 and now.

That write up is great, however when comparing to what Cuirassier (펜텔 케리 샤프 모음 - 수집 목록 : 네이버 블로그) has posted in the past, some of his timeline doesn’t jive.

Yes, collaborative releases sometimes use the original “5” logo, versus “Kerry.” It seems to be random, though. The Tokai release used “5”, but the CDT went with “Kerry.”

This is a really cool Sharplet.

I agree. I like the white and ochre-yellow contrast, with white lettering. Very “warm” feeling.
