Hi all! I’m new Knockology, and this is my first post.
Figured I’d come in with something interesting
I’ve been sorting through and cataloguing my relatives pen collection (>1500 pieces, spanning early '50s to early '00s). As you can imagine there’s a lot of variety there.
While I was going through the Staedtler portion, I came across these 10 very minty Cassete 779 15, made in Japan, sometime between '85/'88.
As mentioned in the Staedtler ID guide, they don’t tend to show up for sale/auction very regularly, and I haven’t been able to find any clear pictures online.
The leads will not fall out of the cassette trough the rear if the eraser is removed, that end is sealed. Does anyone have a photo of the cassette’s packaging? It must have had some kind of removable cap or seal on the front.
The whole mechanism is located in the tip. There are some indentations in the plastic to couple the cassette. While it looks cheap and is very light, it clicks nicely, has the right lenght, diameter and grip for me.
