Thanks. I have seen them even go as low as ¥8000. For a while, there were very few appearing and prices were a good 25% higher. Looks like more people are starting to unload what they have.

From what I’m understanding, the black coating on the clip isn’t very well done and has a tendency to scratch / chip easily. While I wouldn’t put mine to use, just kept as a collectible… still kind of bothers me that the vulnerability exists.

Oh I can help you on this one. In Japanese, fountain pen is said “man’nen hitsu” (万年筆). Man’nen means ten thousand years, hitsu means brush/pen. Pentel made a wordplay for their kerry calling it a 万年CIL “man’nen cil” since it has the elegance and shape of a fountain pen, but it’s a pen-CIL.

That Tokyu Hands is a great-looking pencil

I was happy to see I have the Korean P1035-L-AAO

I thought I’d just stick with the Tokyu Hands since it’s so close, but some sellers on Mercari began offering the all black 2023 Korean P1035L-AAO for “down to Earth” prices and I pulled the trigger. I have the white one as well. Will do a group shot once in hand. I love the aesthetic achieved in this edition, although I wish the white one had a solid plastic coloration, not the swirly semi-metallic one. It almost looks like it’s a manufacturing flaw.
