Platinum Pro Use Family

thank you for your reply! I understand that now. But it still have a problem that it will become loose when the cushion , and it seems to exist a ‘third mode’ i cant show the video as im new user :pensive:

In mine the selection doesn’t stand tightly in place, there’s a give… we probably bought a used pencil… at least I did.

I bought the 241 from a store (or so it seemed) and it has the same problems so I think it’s the mechanism itself… it works… but it’s far from perfect. It needed a slot or something into which the selection would slide more tightly.

These two might sell better than the previous red and purple versions.

The only one of these I own is the MSD-1000 - and I have to say (as a southpaw) it’s one of my favorites ‘simple pencils’ which which to just doodle. The MSD-1500 looks a lot thicker than the MSD-1000… is it significantly heavier?

By the way, the MSD-300 has a plastic thread, and on mine it broke despite careful handling (when I unscrewed the tip, the thread broke into pieces).

1500 is heavier, but not as long. It is a more substantial and serious tool, despite its playful, chubby appearance.

It really is! I also like the 1500 very much.

That clinches it. Now I HAVE to have one!

One more question - I went to the Platinum website - there’s no mention of the MSD-1000 or the MSD-1500 - have they been discontinued?

Yes, they are discontinued. The 1500 is becoming a bit scarce in 0.5 model. Ebay has them for $49 at the moment.
