Very nice
What size(s) did the grey one come in?

It was called khaki on the listing for what that matters, it’s 0.5. I don’t know if it came in other sizes

Stepped tip was unique to the European release of the H-56X :light_bulb:

Found the 0.3 …. It’s bought
They literally have all of the sizes in that tip! The only one I haven’t seen in a picture is the 0.4 but I’m sure it exists too.
I hate that I’m cornered into finding these now (not TRULY hate) but I think my wallet and work are cut out for me!

The 0.4 ain’t a walk in the park, either! Tremendous collection :100:

A certain Faber Castell made that one and the one above it not so difficult logistically.

Nice display trays - assume they’re vintage / not easily obtainable? like everything else in this hobby

The Pilot H-585 is among the best drafters I own, even better than the H-1085.

I wonder whether the magic extends to the H-584, and I hope so. 0.4mm pencils are generally harder to find but, comparatively, they offer a density of great items which is quite difficult to match (e.g. Pilot H-1094, Uni M4-1052, Accugraph PG1804, Variable 04…)

The 585 is the perfect combination of weight, balance, and grippability. At the end of the day, I prefer plastic/resin-dominant pencils to mostly metal ones for actual use. Aesthetically, the metal pencils are unrivaled, but there are hundreds of metal pieces in my collection that I can’t even consider using for reasons like weight, poor balance, and slippage.

Someone did rather well here back in June, I think:
