Hot dang! This one feels almost impossible unless one has seen it before.
Is that a cap or an ultra-destructive connector between two halves?
1970s-90s style clip (but could be later…) from any of 20 manufacturers.

I can confirm that this is a top knock button in metal. It is not a radiator or cooling fin!!

Well, I’ve never seen anything like it. It almost looks like the back half of a mechanical pencil and that this grooved bit at the end is some kind of connector. I’m assuming this is some kind of eraser cap though?
So not Europe. Can you confirm it’s Japan, or is that giving away too much?
