I am not sure how valuable my pencils are (all are 0.5mm), but I would like to know before listing any of them on eBay. And also, which one of them would equalize with the pencil with the golden trim and black barrel that you shared above (if any)?
I think the short/red one (below) is scarce (I think it is an ML-5) because I was only able to trace it to the 1978 Pentel of Japan brochure (shared by @nimrodd). I am sure I saw it in some of the Pentel of America catalogs, but listed with colors other than red.
