WTB a few I can’t find

Zebra Z909
Staedtler micro 775 09
Pilot H239

I can’t find these among many others but I can’t understand why these are so difficult to track down.

If anyone has spares they’re willing to part with, please message me. I don’t care about stickers as much as viability of the print on it.

Regardless, if anyone knows of other P20X type 0.9 pencils to add, I’d like to also search for them too.

You might find some P20x goodness here

I appreciate you, I have already looked there. These aren’t Pentel also.

They are ONLY Pentel.

Understandably misunderstood. The “these” I was referencing was the initial three I posted about. One could argue the purist point of view as well.

Either way. I’m not referencing Pentel pencils in this list but the link is a good place to look for Pentel.

It seems that a reissue of the Staedtler Micrograph was recently released, more information in this thread

It’s crazy that you sent this today because I saw the reprints just yesterday and was wondering about a side by side. Sure enough…

For P20x variants, try searching for the 2020 Delfonics editions, which came in 0.5, 7 and 9. You can also try looking for the PLUS editions, PE-205 from 2024.

Correct me if I’m wrong, I truly believe you would know. Those variations seem to be the same with a different name added to the side. But now that I’ve “said that out loud” to some extent, that is the theme of other parts of my collection. I guess there’s just hasn’t been anything yet to excite me about those.
Two things that have had my brain churning.
The cassette pencils are so fascinating. I read the posts on here about them and other places and all seem to agree about their faults. It seems they’re cool as long as you don’t take them apart.
Second. The transparent Pilot H115 and H215. They both are fascinatingly simple and elegant. I’ve held neither in my hand but I’m looking at a few options right now and trying to decipher good deals so that I can compare them. I’m disappointed because they aren’t my lead size and I’ll have to try to be less heavy handed to properly enjoy them and distinguish my opinion.

I think I found a Pilot H219 in my stash — it is a 0.9, of course. I don’t know whether you are interested in those as well, maybe you already have it, I assume it is (or was) fairly common.

I have to retrieve the pocket clip I removed from the pencil long ago, but the barrel still holds the original sticker with the yellow line for the model name. I’ll try to take some pictures in the next days.

Wow, yes I would love that. I’ve been looking at the 215 admiring how simple it is. I have the H229 but not the 219. I appreciate the consideration.

Ok, I’ll post the pictures asap, and if you like it, we can talk about a swap or a transaction alike. While I think my H219 is one of the funniest 0.9 MP I have, I reckon I’m more of a “0.5 and below”-guy, and better have more 0.5 specimens in use, than a 0.9 collecting dust in a pot or a drawer.

I’m not sure any of these do anything for you but these are roughly my best minus a few.

If it’s less than a 0.9 and you like it, I’d gladly sacrifice it for a 0.9 if a trade is what you’re after

These are all very nice, but no need to sacrifice your very best specimens. I spotted one azure Berol in 0.5 and an Ohto in 0.5 somewhere else on this board: if you still have those available for trade, we may start from there — I’ll also review my 0.9 sub-set and see whether I find other items to propose to enlarge your collection.

Please give me a couple of days to gather everything and take shots, as I am dragged by job-related tasks these days, and I struggle keeping everything together (especially my scattered brain).

Azure, I like it. They’re yours.

Hallo @DarkwingDuck (by the way: great username, I loved that cartoon), as promised I wandered through my drawers and found some 0.9 pencils I can offer you as trade material. Here are the shots I managed to take, sorry for the poor quality but my usual camera has failed and I had to resort to an older model with more limited performance.

Here are the pencils, a few details below:

They are mostly European and Japanese models, and go as follows:

• Schwann Stabilo Technic 3539 (red body, clutch MP, large rubber grip)
• Faber-Castell TK-Fine 9719 in 1.0 denomination (just another way the Germans denote, or used to denote, 0.9 mm pencils)
• Pilot H219 (with sticker and clip; very well balanced, nice feeling)
• Uchida S-9 (an old Uchida, I haven’t seen it popping on Ebay very often, there probably is one in 0.5 currently listed).

If you want them, I have little use for them and I’d prefer leaving them in the hands of some true 0.9 aficionado. We can discuss the details of the trade via DM, if you want. Please consider that I live in Europe, and this may impact the amount of time required for the parcel to arrive overseas.

Bye!

I think I sold one of those remotely known Uchidas once, but it was a 0.3mm

It’s a good thing to collect only 0.9s
