I’ve recently been trying to find some interesting Korean Pilot examples and I’ve finally gotten my hands on some. Even being here in South Korea, they are quite rare to come by considering the company stopped producing them in the early 2000s.
Here is my first batch.
Why do you have then all unscrewed like that? Do you store them that way?
Why unscrewed? 
For storage, not in tension. Have heard anecdotal accounts out of Japan of the constant tension eventually causing threadwear/looseness or pencil breaking in combination with plastic oxidation making it more brittle.
I thought there would be some reason for this…
In all honesty I don’t 100% buy it because I have a few more of these in less perfect condition in some drawers and cases elsewhere that I don’t keep unscrewed and they’ve been perfectly fine for so many years until now… but better safe than sorry for the stickered or best condition pieces.
I think they are, at least between H-100x and H-200x so I assume other models work as well.

Received my S10 and S20 today.
They also died within the same day.
I understand fully the hype behind the S15 now.
This is a 0.4mm S15 that I didn’t bother changing the clutch for, only the cone; theoretically it’s a non-issue, and the mod likely isn’t worth the clutch-change hassle.
