If you count cheap pencils, the ”most common” M&G et al have a hexagonal aluminum body with a slightly wider ”knurled” brass grip.

A one piece body in aluminum or wood with a ”hidden” weight (often a thick steel spring) in the front isn’t all that uncommon either.

The 787… Possibly not the best looking pencil in the world — but imo one of the best 2mm-3.15mm pencils, great to handle, quality plastics, impeccable balance. Everything is just right about it.
