Welcome to Knockology.com – The Premier Community for Mechanical Pencil Enthusiasts!

Hello everyone!

A Warm Welcome to New Visitors and Future Members

To all the new folks and those of you visiting the site without an account—welcome! We’re thrilled to have you here exploring our community. We encourage you all to say hello and join the conversation. Whether you’re curious about mechanical pencils or ready to dive deep into the world of collecting, we invite you to become a part of our friendly community.

A Heartfelt Thank You to Our Existing Members

To the existing members, especially those who have been here for a long time—thank you. Your passion, stories, and contributions have made Knockology what it is today. I truly appreciate all of you and are grateful for the vibrant community we’ve built together.

A Friendly Space for All Levels of Interest

At Knockology, we believe that the joy of mechanical pencils knows no bounds. This is a welcoming and inclusive place where anyone, at any point in their journey, can feel at home. There are no dumb questions and no expectations—just a shared passion for these amazing tools. We appreciate everything from simple, everyday pencils to mind-blowing, one-of-a-kind collections.

Share Your Stories and Ask Away

Many of us have personal tales about how we fell in love with mechanical and drafting pencils. Maybe it was a cherished gift, a vintage find, or the sheer satisfaction of a perfectly precise line. We want to hear your stories! Your experiences add richness to our community and inspire others.

Have questions? Ask away! Unlike some forums where you might hear, “This has been discussed before; did you even search the site?” we’re here to encourage and support your curiosity. We don’t mind revisiting topics because every discussion brings new perspectives.

More Than Just Pencils

While mechanical pencils are our main focus, we also love to chat about pens, stationery, office supplies, and even other non-writing instrument topics. If it’s interesting to you, it’s interesting to us!

A Global Community Speaking the Language of Enthusiasm

We have members from all over the world. While we primarily use English for communication, we welcome translations and do our best to understand and include everyone. Your unique perspectives enrich our community.

Why Knockology?

I created Knockology to provide a space that is more involved, easier to use, great for research and documentation, friendlier, and more personal than platforms like Reddit. Here, you can:
• Connect with fellow enthusiasts who share your passion.
• Learn about both new and vintage pieces.
• Contribute your own insights and experiences.
• Enjoy a respectful and welcoming environment.

Join the Conversation

So, please, say hello! Whether you’re here to showcase your collection, seek advice, or simply explore, we’re excited to have you as part of our community.

How Did You Fall in Love with Mechanical Pencils?

We’d love to hear your story. What drew you to these fascinating tools? Was it the design, the functionality, or perhaps a memorable experience? Sharing your journey not only introduces you to the community but also sparks conversations and connections.

You’re Welcome Here

Remember, this is your community. Feel comfortable, be yourself, and enjoy all that Knockology has to offer. Together, we make this place special.

Thank you for being here, and we look forward to getting to know you!

And thank you so much Thomas for having put together this site. I remember the early days when it first got started and it has grown nicely since then. Lots of good features. But also, great participation from so many valued members. Glad to be here.

Happy Thanksgiving! :turkey::poultry_leg:

I’m a recent member of this great community filled with countless informative posts and contagious enthusiasm! I’d like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all of you!!!

I collected the Rotring 600 colors and collabs as they came out, but only started collecting other mechanical pencils recently, and am glad I found this community because it appears I was oblivious to pencils outside the Rotring range and Pentel P205. …I think I read a post here where someone said there are as many mechanical pencils as stars in the sky, so I’m trying to (unsuccessfully  so far) limit my collection to 0.5 metal drafting pencils.
