Wanting to buy SPOKE MODEL 6

Hello everyone. I’m based in Australia and shipping cost comes out to be nearly as much as the pencil itself. Would anyone by chance would sell a spoke model 6?

Thanks guys

Hey welcome @Jzfd200

Welcome, Jzfd.

The Spoke Model 4 is more popular than the Model 6 and you might have better luck sourcing one of those. But in any case, it’s unfortunate that buying directly from Spoke Design will be a costly shipping trip. There are a few Aussies on Knockology, but you might also want to check up on the r/pen_swap Reddit.

Backing this idea up, the model 6 varies only slightly from the model 4, and quite frankly I think the model 4 is just better overall. Not to dissuade you from exploring, I would just definitely recommend the model 4. Plus, its been around longer, so likely a higher chance of people looking to offload anyways.

Thanks guys. I might go for the spoke 4 then. What would be the best grip for someone that holds there pencil slightly more towards the tip with a tighter grip?

I like the brass or the sandblasted titanium, but I still struggle to grip the Spoke 4 (and all other Spokes as well) due to the P205 tip (which is long enough that it creates some slippage for me).

For this reason, I use Pentel Graph Rock tips on all my Spokes.

Unfortunately, the Graph Rocks have been discontinued. They were only available for a couple of years in Brazil.

@Jzfd200 - I forgot to mention. You should check the Spoke Design web site and especially their Instagram site frequently. Every now and then they announce a small batch of this or that, usually a day in advance and even tell you what time it goes on sale. I have been able to snag a couple that way.

How about the matte flare grip. Would that suit a lower tighter grip?

I’ve not used one, but a guy who likes to grip close to the tip (like me) hated it.

I also grip pretty low and tight, and I find the flare grip as a great medium between diameter as well as providing a little ridge and pocket for your fingers.

With that being said, the way I grip my pencils is weird and non-standard, so my input might not reflect your outcome.
