Walmart has an interesting drafting style pencil called "Topbathy"

It says “retractable,” but I’m thinking it may be a pipe slide. There’s no photo with the tip retracted. It does have a lead size label that shows through a cut-out in the clip, like a lead hardness indicator. And yet, there is NO MENTION of the lead size in the product listing, specifications table, or even the title. That’s just so negligent. Whoever was in charge of assembling the product page should get a demerit.:face_with_raised_eyebrow::roll_eyes:

The narrow “Hershey Kiss” style nose cone reminds me of old Kohinoor Rapidograph stylograph nibs.

I believe this is a Chinese OEM model by M&G. I have one in silver and one in black. The size is printed in that small cutout on the base of the clip, like if it was a lead degree display. The sliding tip is of the steel tip embedded in a plastic base with side tabs exerting mild pressure on the inner walls of the cone… a very ‘Kokuyo’ style of doing things. I harvested the grips to customize other iffy pencils that I picked up over the years…

So as a pencil on it’s own… not that great? What pencils were donor recipients of the grips?

Yea this pencil is not great, had one before, quite a lot of wobble and the metal body does not make it feel any quality, just simply cheap knock-off of GraphGear 500
