Someone further up (maybe it was Lexikaliker) already noted this, itβs Hilmar Nicolay and Lennart Kleiber, but the issue is that none of the many concepts really resemble the usus.pi.
Great find! This looks like it could be related as listing for the USUS Pi mention magnets. It could be something like Fig. 4 and the lever on top of the pen slightly rotates the circular magnet(8β). But how they would make something so small.
I am also not sure how the refill stays deployed. Applying light pressure on the point does not press back into the pen unless the lever is actuated. If the point is extended by opposing magnetic forces alone, it should depress with pressure. But I am by no means a machinist or engineer.
I think you and right and someone will have to mill one open.[1]
