Traveling to Brazil?

Is there anyone traveling to Brazil any time soon?

Preferably someone in USA but really it can be almost any country.

@griffisu and myself are trying to do a trade and the bureaucracy of shipping both in and out is very tedious and time consuming.

The easiest way is to find someone to “smuggle” :winking_face_with_tongue: pencils from me in to Brazil and then pencils from @griffisu out of Brazil.

Any help or advice is appreciated.

Just to give some context from my side:

I’m trying to complete a trade with @DarkwingDuck, and we already agreed on the items. The problem is getting the pencils out of Brazil.

I first looked into using Correios (our national postal service), but shipments from Brazil to the U.S. are currently temporarily suspended (Comunicado - 28/08/2025 - Suspensão temporária de envios para os Estados Unidos e Porto Rico. Veja o que muda. — Correios). This applies to basically all packages, I even went to my local post office and the suspension is still in place.

Then I checked DHL, the issue is that they require an NFe (electronic invoice) for international shipments. In Brazil, only registered companies can issue that (they have what is called a CNPJ with a digital certificate), and I’m just an individual, so I’m basically blocked from shipping that way.

We also talked about possible workarounds like using eBay or sending multiple items to someone who could redistribute them inside the U.S., but nothing straightforward so far.

At this point, the simplest solution really seems to be finding someone traveling to/from Brazil who could carry the pencils and then ship them domestically. That would avoid both the cost and the bureaucracy.

If anyone has suggestions or is traveling and willing to help, I’d really appreciate it!
