A few days ago, someone shared a video on YouTube titled “The 5 Most Expensive Pencils in the World! You Won’t Believe It #1.” I played the video thinking I’d see some Mikado, Ticonderoga, Blackwing, Veritas, etc. But no, the video shows mechanical pencils, not wooden pencils. You can’t imagine what they came up with. Well, it’s clear it wasn’t made by a pencil enthusiast.

Wouldn’t the Pentel QX be among the most expensive?
I regularly see the Pentel QX for less than ¥150000, so nowhere near the PXE205 or PXN205.

I have never seen a Pentel Aya AYP301 for sale. As far as I know it is the most expensive pencil that Pentel sold.
I have picked up a couple of APB301 pens for a little more than their original price.
There’s a Gold PXN205 on YJD going for a totally reasonable $4400
There is also a Silver PXN105 on YJD going for about $4500

From this list of pencils, and the others mentioned above, which ones are possible to find in genuine NOS condition? Never used.
