Tips for left handers

So - I’m left handed. And old enough that I should really have a handle on this - but I’m quite the creature of habit - and - well - my first MP was a skinny one with a hard rubber grip - so I guess I’ve just favored that style ever since - partly because I didn’t know any better - but mainly because I’m an Englishman and we don’t like people telling us what to do.

Now, of course, I’m older, and wiser and here with all you good people - gazing at your staggering collections and all the astounding help and suggestions and support and thinking to myself ‘wait a second old chap - there are other grips / thicknesses / materials / technologies out there…’

So - here’s my question to all my sinister chums.

What have you found (by way of MPs!) that you - as southpaws - find helpful?

I started off as a lefty – my Catholic kindergarten teacher (literacy) beat it out of me. I still flinch a little when I see a red 24” ruler lol

I just decided to go all-in on pencils instead of pens.
I write with a straight wrist and with the paper so I write ”up a hill” with the paper tilted 10min backwards. I think my grip is slightly higher than average and I prefer a heavier pencil with neutral or tip heavy balance.

I’m constantly plagued with ‘Silverhand’ (when the side of your palm picks up the graphite you’ve already laid down) - dirtying both hand and page and smearing / smudging the drawn work.

Are there any leads that are more smear resistant? I see all sorts of marketing claims from certain manufacturers - but what’s your real-life experiences?

Also - I see a number of ‘glove’ type products - are they any good / use?
