The Staedtler REG 925-85 is getting a reissue

Does anyone know about the all black release? Is it still happening?

I can’t be the only person still very much anticipating the all black release!

Here she is.
I read that some were hearing that it’s got a rubberized coating, this is not the case.
It’s more like a powder type coating that isn’t fully smooth BUT does feel like it may scratch easily.
It’s as awesome as expected.
I recommend to purchase!

Yes, it definitely lives up to the hype. I’m in Japan right now and was able to snag one up from Loft!

Welcome back, they’ve since went down a few yen since I bought it but I’m still very happy with my purchase.
The price of getting one right away on this one is fine with me.

Is its coating similar to Rotring 600 black?

Someone else will have to answer that,
I collect only the 300 and 400 with the plastic grip.
I have a couple special 500 but that’s the extent of my Rotring knowledge.

(I do need a 300 0.3 and 0.9, and a 400 0.7) just saying

Welcome @92595
I would love a reissue 0.9 of the 925-95!

Received my silver 925‐85 today. Such mechanical marvels are simply irresistible.

After a few test strokes, the included rough lead was quickly replaced with Pilot’s NeoX 4B — what a relief. Here are the resultant scribbles.
