The Gentleman and the Commoner

When comparing the Pilot Young double knock (HW-100BK) with the Pilot Young Gentleman double knock (HW-250SK) I found that the differences are only skin-deep.

The internals are completely interchangeable:

We’re all the same inside and furthermore, it’s the ordinary man who has a heart of gold (well, brass but let’s not split hairs)… I’m pretty sure there’s a morality tale in there  but I’ll leave it for a better writer than me.

It’s funny because the Pilot Young double knock actually has metal threads while the “Gentleman” is all a facade… Nice metal jacket, but disappointing plastic threads under the surface.

Actually… I’m pretty sure I saw an X post recently that showed that the Young Gentleman’s black threads are metal under black paint. Will check mine later.

That would be huge! I’ve been leaving mine unscrewed this whole time.
