It was the one my wallet make me swear off when I first saw it at Itoya in Ginza… the “customize it to your last cent of discretionary spending” Sakura craft_lab 006. These pens were only sold in shops where a gloved concierge (probably) laid out the options on a velvet lined tray for your consideration. Or at least that’s what I imagined it would be.
Having perused the website, I knew my dream 006 combo would have been a green outer sheath and cap, plus the burped ‘pipe wood’ inner core and probably the steel clip. However, I came across this ‘classic black’ + pipe wood combo on Mercari for a good deal less that MSRP. And I clicked BUY.
I had put it aside for a while when next I saw the Luddite special editions offered at the THINK store here in Singapore. I guess I was subconsciously drawn towards this rosewood burl Everdraw because of the 006. Do they make a good match?
