First off, thank you to all of you who have been flagging the spam posts lately. It helps more than you know. Knockology has grown into one of the best places online for people who share a passion for mechanical pencils, and I want to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high.
To do that, I have added an approval step for new accounts. I never wanted to be in the position of deciding who gets in, but the reality is simple. As more eyes find this forum, more bots and random noise will show up too. The goal is not to keep enthusiasts out. The goal is to keep the garbage from ever hitting our threads.
Here is how it works for new users:

- I am not reviewing every little thing under a microscope. I just need enough to know you are not a bot.
- Once you are in, you are part of a community that values quality, respect, and genuine interest in this hobby.
