Staedtler Mars - The best brand in the world

Some my blue mess for daily use on my desk…

Which of these (also not pictured) leadholders is your least favorite?

EDIT: and most favorite?

least favorite? I love them all - I need more of that lovely Staedtler blue in my collection. These are awesome looking - how long has it taken you to collect them?
BTW
I like the long, sharp point they have - what sharpener are you using?

I’m not sure how long it took to collect them because they’re mostly leftovers from various auctions I won.

Since they were used a lot, I kept them for daily use.

Otherwise, the leadholders that I bought unused or almost unused, I keep in my collection and don’t use them. I have NOS pieces of all these pieces, of course and more. I will share them sometimes.

For sharpening I use a standard (non-vintage) Staedtler 502, where you can choose a long and short tip. I like the long one also.

EDIT: For Pan-Technico I use vintage sharpener Staedtler 505: 771 & 773 & 775 & 777… it is not 3096 only - #5 by majkycz_y

All leadholders I’ve had the pleasure to write with were good. The one that I actually held in my hands and liked the most was a DJ Fugle Leadlok with the black vinyl grip. But the one that is my favorite and imo the best looking is the Staedtler Mars Lumograph 1002

I really want a nice version of one of the gray 771 and 775.
They’re tough to come by!
Very nice

PS: the one that looks blue is more of a blue-green (turquoise).

Wow, that’s great! So there were two yellow ones, namely the 789 00 in your photo and the Noris 789 (plus the Noris 777 but this has a different design).

I do not know if I have all colors, but guess yes. They were made with different type of clip. I have some with marking 788 instead of 789 00… but they are the same.
