Staedtler condor and airliner eraser type

Late last year I got 3 Staedtler condor in a larger lot on Vinted. The internals are identical to the contemporary Microfix (3rd, last generation) and Micro - non removable, plastic lead tube and two piece plastic clutch jaws inside a large brass ring, plus interchangeable tips.

However the eraser on the condor is the older type, with a metallic ferrule as opposed to the later plastic piece on the Micro, Microfix, Polo.

It was @majkycz_y who drew my attention to the issue during a trade earlier this year. Were they equipped like that from manufacturing or someone swapped the erasers?

Now I got another condor, from a different source, and again it has the older type eraser. At this point I’m pretty certain this is original.

Does anyone here have the condor or the airliner and can check the eraser to confirm?

All my cheap plastic models from Staedtler (photographed only few of them) have the same type of eraser. It’s strange that the Condor, which is also in this line, has a different…(?)

It’s interesting that it doesn’t even fit well in the inner Condor tube… when I swap it for the “right” one (?), it fits perfectly…

@Vici81 I’ll check the one I got from you if you aren’t already aware of what it’s equipped with

No need, yours is from the same first lot of 3, also with the metal ferrule eraser.
