Staedtler 925-85

It’s legit, I bought mine from that store a few months ago, $50 + $14 shipping, cause I’m in Chile. It arrived well, unopened blister. I think I’ll sell it on eBay because I didn’t like the 925 85 05, the regulator system seems nonsense to me.

They just shipped. Tracking from USPS says Wednesday :man_shrugging:t3:

In essence, I agree. I can’t say for sure what it is precisely, but my guess is about 1.0 to 1.5 mm of lead advancement per click is the average. The regulator lets you control it from something like 0.1 mm to 2.0 mm. For the most part, I don’t even think about the amount of lead being advanced if it’s in line with your average mechanical pencil. I definitely notice if it’s too little or too much. On the 925-85, I have set the amount… and I’ll likely never change it ever again.

Conversely, you have some pencils that allow you to control the length of the lead pipe guide. That feels a little more useful. For example, going from just regular writing (shorter) to using a stencil or template (longer). Plus, you can retract the pipe guide fully (flush) for full protection.

Thanks! Ordered one. Wish they still had the Micromatic…
