SKB is a writing tool manufacturer founded in the southern Taiwan city of Kaohsiung in 1955. I had the opportunity to stop by their flagship store yesterday while on holiday in Kaohsiung. The store includes a little museum of artifacts from the company history (old stationery items behind plexi), but I was surprised to find they also sell some vintage items. Picked these up for 2 or 3 USD each.

What a fantastic outing! Congrats on the vintage score right from the source! I think I only have one SKB and it’s a RS-301 compact ballpoint… steel cap and clip with a dark green body. I’d gotten it as a companion for my vintage green Kerry back around 2015 or so. For some reason, SKB saw fit to equip it with a really broad 1.0mm refill. I think it still works.
