Same pencil, different continents

Pentel P205 Fluorescents. Set on left is from Japan, set on the right is from Europe (and also Australia). I had avoided purchasing the Japanese variants because I thought they were the same as the Europeans. Turns out they are quite different. The European versions much brighter and a matte finish, while the Japanese are more of a muted/pastel version of a neon with a standard glossy finish.

I thought they were the same pencil as well.

I finally added one to an order because it was a good price. After that, I went back and bought the rest of the set. I did get some with some bleaching from light or sun that made the barrels a little lighter.

These would pair nicely with some Caran D’ache neon 849 ballpoints.

There is also a Brazilian version that includes three colors.
