Is this pencil really that bad just because of the plastic center connecting piece? I have a brand new one I purchased back in 2018 never used. I am trying to decide whether to sell or keep it. Is the center plastic sleeve an issue in regular use even if it is not dropped etc? Anyone that owns one for a long time that can give some feedback?
The real problem with the Rapid Pro 2mm is that the clutch doesn’t have enough clamping force on the lead core for sharpening / pointing.
That is mind boggling that Rotring would overlook such an important detail! The use of plastic in some of the key components was enough of a deterrent to keep me from buying them.
Maybe an opportunity to release Pro+ versions!
