Glossy pencil is definitely most expensive item in 900 series today.
Any opinions why is that?
I am trying to figure out how long was it in production and from what I gathered 1989-1993.
Still not finding info what happened in 1992.

How can one find out which generation was the pencil? I wanted to check which gen is mine.
Unlike with 600 for 900 it is simple.
Firstly only glossy were first gen.
And second gen glossy had different smaller logo printed on as for first gen they had larger logo engraved in.
Is it comfortable to write with?
Yes…perfect.
Of course if you like more heavy pencil…but weight gives this exclusive feeling when used.
So I have the gen 2 then because the logo is horizontally placed on mine. Thanks!

Have in mind that for 900 series value, generation doesn’t influence the value much. They were all produced in the range of only 6-7 years. Each gen for just 1-3 years.
