As shared on Reddit:
Aaaand already sold out.
I wonder how many they had in stock? 500? 5000?
Thanks for posting.
It somewhat spoils the limited idea, if the limitation is weakend. I bought a yellow 600 in the first wave with a not so small markup (was too late for official shop), and it seemed a good invest. But if Loft reissues the “limited” edition from time to time, the value will decrease (the esthetic value of this yellow uglyness is limited anyway ).
Same thing for KT Dive.
I own every color variant of the 600 and yellow, in my opinion, is the worst color of them all. I’m still happy to own it but it’s my least favorite color. The ice blue is #1 fire!
Ok I have some questions: is the Loft yellow branded in any way (i.e. does it have “Loft” silkscreened on the barrel?)
I recently picked one up recently (for $28!) so that leads to my other question, are all yellow 600s from Loft, or did rOtring sell some “regular” yellow ones as well?
This $28 yellow has no text on the barrel, aside from the normal, but did say “Loft” on the box
Here’s generation 2-8 (current), 600 Gold, and 600 3-in-1, plus (I think) all the colors, except for rose gold.
So in 2021, Loft dropped a yellow rOtring 600 as a limited edition. Nothing special printed on the pencil itself, but the box had “Limited Edition” written in yellow. It sold out quick and prices went way up.
Later on, probably because of demand, they brought the yellow back but this time it wasn’t labeled limited edition, just called a “Loft Product” instead. Basically made it a regular release.
I think only the two Nonble and the SUPREME edition had branding other than rOtring.
the Itoya has a logo (you can kind of see it if you zoom in) - 2nd from right
??? what’s this??
It sounds like this is what I have. But $28 and no cracks - I’m OK with it
Oh yeah, it does.
You won the LoFt lottery!
I’d bought directly from LoFt, too… and both ended up with cracks (one really noticeable, one very faint).
This may be the only pencil in my collection that I’m embarrassed at buying.
