I think this patent won an IG-Nobel Prize — for Engineering or for Medicine, I can’t remember at the moment.

Reminds me of a story about a doctor who discovered that his kidney stone patients all felt better after taking a particularly violent rollercoaster ride. The centrifugal forces had ‘pulled’ the pesky stones through.

Currently restoring a 1989 GT Vertigo ST bmx bike. Frame has been restored and freshly powder coated. Handful of more components to sort out but this one is getting close.
