That’s fantastic! I imagine living there, it’s kind of like living in California near Napa and Sonoma, where you get access to wines that never make it out of state. Kentucky being the equivalent for bourbon, rye, and whisky blends.

I’ve also been appreciative of First Call and Wolcott bourbons. Wolcott Straight Kentucky Bourbon is a terrific value, and I prefer it over the bottled in bond version. I’ve found for my tastes, I don’t like heading up to higher alcohol content. 90 proof is about my limit. I find with 100 proof, the alcohol tends to start cutting into the experience of flavor.

I will definitely check out that Knob Creek Rye. What’s your opinion of Larceny’s bourbons?

Larceny is decent—a little on the sweeter side if I recall (probably due to the oak aging).
