Accidentally bought this off of Ebay as my first vintage mechanical pencil, seller didn’t show any photos of the text. Some people may not like promotional text on a pencil but I think it makes it unique. Anyone else have vintage/quality promotional pencils, or is this an exception?

On certain kinds of materials, silkscreened text can be removed with careful use of paint thinners. In this case, I am not sure how that might affect the finish of the Automac…

I wouldn’t risk it, there is a high chance to make it worse. First, I would try in a cheap pencil to see how it goes.

I would keep the science contest, it’s not just an advertising promotion.
