Someone linked to an add for some different ABC model, with stickers that said they were made in Taiwan. So pretty sure.
Nice sticker. Your clip says Pilot and the sticker says Japan so I’m guessing it was made by pilot in Japan. However, the sticker resemblance does introduce more questions. My sticker does not say Japan and the clip says ABC instead of pilot.
Since the quality of the ABC version is lower than the Pilot Japan version, I’m wondering if maybe there was a trial period in Taiwan where Pilot considered developing a Taiwan manufacturing facility. Maybe they sourced some parts or even the stickers from Taiwan at some point and then abandoned the project?
I hate to speculate like this since I am no expert. But I’ve asked the Taiwan collectors I know and no one seems to have any idea so I’m just grasping at straws.

After disassembling it and comparing it with the photos in the link.
It’s the same as the ABC version.
As @amjacobs7 mentioned, it does seem most likely that it was produced during a trial period.

Sorry I misunderstood your other post. Your H1003 was certainly manufactured in Japan. The ABC branded models seem to come from Taiwan.
