Pilot H-5005 vs. Pilot Automatic

I’ve never really seen anyone highlight the differences here; auctions for either one of these pencils tend to reach stratospheric figures.

So…besides the etching in the grip area, what are the differences? Which one came first?

To me, the Automatic comes off as a more polished piece, with every detail nearing “just right” status.
