Has there ever been any decision on which is older? The only catalog I have access to that has this pencil is the 1995 and it shows the shiny metal eraser cap.
BTW I’m working on this for my next video.

As far as I know the one with the blue cap is older. By the way, there are also variations of the knurling; the older is sharper.

You are not asking, but I like the blue cap version better. This model is already so over the top, no need for extra glitz.
I love love love the silk screen colors they used for this series. The staff member who picked those colors deserves an award.

aside from removing the tip and eraser cap, have any of you been able to remove the internal mechanism/lead chamber from the pencil barrel? Mine seem to be force fitted or perhaps glued in place?
