Trying to find information on a Pilot product that was perhaps discontinued sometime around 2012, or even earlier. Besides that, in general I’m curious if anyone has or can perhaps is able to find Pilot catalogues between the early 2000’s up to 2012.

Asking directly by stating which specific model you’re interested in might be a more effective way to proceed. Someone might already know, or have some clues that could help you narrow down your search.

The product in question isn’t a mechanical pencil, but rather a 3 color multipen called the 3c Slim. It’s strange, very few pictures of these exist, and searching using Japanese yields practically zero information on the product. There is a single youtube video from 2011 that mentions it being discontinued. It’s indeed quite slim, delicate, and has a beautiful marble effect on the body. I’m interested to know exactly when these were first launched, and ultimately discontinued.

I think the 2+1 version is quite common, I’ve seen this clip and the Pilot Slim name quite often on Mercari. I have no idea about the production dates.
A next best way to guess the era is to look at the dates on the original pen refills.
It’s a regular gravity push + clip button release (probably OEM’ed) so I don’t find it strange that it wouldn’t make waves.
Pilot press releases https://www.pilot.co.jp/information/ go only as far back as 2008 and make no mention of a ‘slim’ product series.
BKH-2SR.
This one might have replaced yours: It was added November 23, 2011 to Amazon.com (can’t find Amazon.co.jp), was available there 24th of April 2015, and still appears in the 2022 PILOT catalog. It’s missing the marble pattern and the material was switched for plastic completely.
Apart from that, it kept the middle section double-ring and its grip surface.
But the Amazon.com-listing isn’t enough proof, they could also have existed at the same time and the marbled version was seen as a luxury version and they chose to only discontinue this one.
BKS-3SR-BGY is one marbled slim 3c.
BKHT-300R-BR is one marbled slim 2+1.
Couldn’t find more but having the model ID written down might make research quicker for someone else.
