Pilot 1995 - (partial, shot by cell phone)

A Japanese collector I follow on X (@IrNoak)
posted a haul of stationary items they had recently acquired. Laying in the image was a Pilot catalog from 1995. I reached out to them and asked for some pictures and here they are. I was happy to see this as it has the H-109x and H-56x listed so now I have an earlier datapoint – my notes had 1997.

Many pencils listed but here are some that caught my attention. I am really grateful to @IrNoak as this is the only catalog I have seen here on Knockology that had the H-109x and H-56x listed.

Epic find. VERY interesting to see Pilot’s progression over the years; they had a lot more ornamental executives in 1995 vs 1988.

Wow. I can’t comprehend the diversity of mechanical pencil offerings that year. A dizzying array.

Pilot has the most diverse catalog, IMO. That’s why they’re the kings of MPs :smirk:

Further confirmation that the fabled 1988 discontinuation year of the H-300x models was false.

I’m going to update those earlier images I presented in the double-knock topic with a table of dates, because it’s just faulty information and I don’t want to keep spreading the wrong info.

Can folks here confirm if this is correct?

MODEL CODE YEARS
H-1005/03 → HH-100R → 07/71~2006
H-2005/03 → HH-200K → 08/70~1996
H-2105/03 → HHP-200R → 08/92~2006
H-3005/03 → HHP-300S → 08/92~2006
H-5005 → HAT-500M → 1993~?
Automatic → HAT-300S → 12/83~?

Yes, I’ve listed some information here, I believe they’re still credible.

And of course, there’re multiple model numbers for one single pen, but personally I don’t have much interset on studying the variation of model numbers.
