does the PD335-T or PD335 have a date code? All of mine have a single digit molded into the underside of the pocket clip.
BTW - on the image above - w/ JIS number has a “1” and the one without has a “8”.
I am not sure where the date code is on the PD335 and variants. I suspect it is probably printed under the clip band, like on the PD345, but I am not sure, and don’t want to try twisting mine off to find out.
The number you are referring to is probably the mold mark.

The one on the right without a permit number is older!
For triangular sticker with JIS, the Japanese version is older and the English version is newer!
