Pentel Pencil Patents

I don’t remember what I was looking for when I found these (back in February 2024), nor where I found them, but I downloaded a bunch of Pentel Patents pdfs.
I have appended the model of the pencil to the front of the pdf name, and the Patent directory is now in my Pentel Catalogs public directory.

One of the patents I was looking at to name is a pencil I do not recognize. In the directory it is called PD305(no grip) - USD385915.pdf. It appears to be a PD305 (which has a rubber grip), but the patent drawing does not have that grip. And on page 2 in figure 3, it shows that this is a metal clip that has the plastic molded around it.

Below is the PD300T with the metal clip.

The drawing appears to have the grip like the PD205 (below).

Has anybody seen one of these pencils before?

amazing work finding all those!
I have some of those - what would you like to know?

Is it as simple as swapping the metal clip cap-end from the PD300T onto the body of a PD205? Sounds like the patent drawing was done during a transition period from 205 to 305, like conceptually a ‘PD255’.

I am not sure. I do not have any of these pencils.

Unfortunately, none of the patents have any model numbers listed on them. I just identified the ones I could, and on some of them, I could be off. But some are very distinctive.
