Just some photos of the oldest Pentel pencil in my collection.
According to @nimrodd’s outstanding work on Pentel pencils the 850 is from 1962. – Was that Pentel’s first mechanical pencil for 0.5 mm leads or the 350?

I believe (but cannot prove) that the 850 was the first 0.5mm. This is based on the model 100 having Pentel in quotes, and the 850 having the same. The 350 was the first of the Stick pencils to NOT have the quotes, so my assumption is that it came later.

Could you take a photo of your 850 on a white sheet of paper so I can use it in the Pentel Book? It is in better condition than the one I currently have a photo of (off the internet).
